Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a disorder characterized by musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory and mood issues.

Fibromyalgia Syndrome can affect neurologic, immune, endocrine and enteric organ systems. Fibromyalgia presents with a burning or aching pain regardless of physical activity. Etiology of fibromyalgia is unknown but it is theorized that the multiple factors involved may trigger the CNS to create an amplified response to pain, making it a problem with the body’s pain processing and perception.
