About Megan

Megan Kay has spent the last 14+ years as an orthopedic physical therapist in Los Angeles and Orange County, specializing in integrating her manual skills with strengthening to treat the body as a whole system approach. She specializes in visceral manipulation, nerve work and cranial sacral therapy. She is also a movement based orthopedic practitioner, certified in Pilates through Balanced Body, and in RedCord as an international Neurac provider. A mom of two herself, she has worked the last decade with pre and postnatal patients to help restore a mom’s core, pelvic floor and overall function for the daily demands and return to exercise. She has worked extensively with breast cancer patients specializing in rehab during and post reconstruction utilizing manual techniques, RedCord and Pilates based treatments. As an orthopedic based therapist she has rehabilitated patients ages 1 to 99 years young with all types of injuries, surgeries and autoimmune diseases. A former ballerina herself for Boston Ballet, she has worked extensively with the Los Angeles dance community for injury prevention education and physical therapy treatment.

She started her alternative nerve and visceral work journey in 2010 with an idiopathic neuritis that no doctor could help, but a PT could! She had to know more, and has spent the last 14 years taking classes through Barral and the Upledger Institute. Her love for anatomy and teaching has led her to teach pilates continuing education, anatomy prerequisites for Balance Body certification and for the Barral Institute as a teaching assistant for Visceral Manipulation. She has also been a clinical instructor for the local Southern California DPT programs.

Megan moved to Orange County to be close to her husband's family, as it takes a village to raise kids. You can find Megan cruising through Tustin's Trader Joes and Target aisles with her two kiddos, on the pilates reformer getting her lunch workout in or enjoying a nice day out at the beach with her family in Newport. She loves to bake, paddle board, snowboard and spend her down time with her family and dog Sophie.
